Spring Splashball – Now Registering
Splashball is our 8U, pre-team readiness program and the first step in San Clemente Water Polo Club’s athlete development pathway. It is a great way for children ages 6–8 to try water polo in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Players learn fundamental skills including swim kick, eggbeater kick, dribbling, passing, catching, shooting, game framework and how to cooperate and play in a team setting.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate, athletes must:
-
Be ages 6–8 for the full duration of the session
-
Be able to get in and out of the pool independently
-
Be able to swim one length of the pool
-
Be comfortable separating from parents and participating in group instruction
Splashball helps build the foundation for continued development in water polo. Coaches will recommend and assist with the transition to 10U teams when athletes are ready.
If you have an 8-9 yr old who is a strong swimmer and looking for more, consider one of our 10U Teams.
