To register for an age-group team:

Step One:  Confirm your USA Water Polo Membership is valid.

Athletes must have a current USA Water Polo membership, attached to San Clemente Water Polo (CA-35384). This is mandatory for insurance.  Your member number is required for SCWP registration in Step #2.

Step Two:  Register with SCWP to get on the roster.

Practice fees are billed in quarterly installments, due with registration.  Fees are non-refundable, non-transferrable and non-cancelable.  Athletes will be assigned to an age-group based on their birthdate:

10U:  Born 8/2/14 – 12/1/16

12U:  Born 8/2/12 – 8/1/14

14U:  Born 8/2/10 – 8/1/12

16U/18U:  Born 8/2/06 – 8/1/10

  • General schedules can be found on Team Pages.
  • Practice schedules and locations are subject to change. TeamSnap is the only source of up-to-date schedule information.  Check it before every practice.
  • We are aligned with the CAPO Unified school calendar.  As a rule, if CAPO doesn't have school then we don't have practice.
  • SCWP is an annual program with annual resources.  For financial convenience, 10U-14U teams are billed in four installments; 16/18U teams are billed in three installments.
  • We do not prorate fees for seasonal differences or missed practices. It is assumed that all athletes will miss practices over the course of the year for various reasons including vacation, illness, injury, other sports, camps/events, etc.
  • All fees are non-refundable and non-cancelable for any reason including injury.  Should you want fee protection, insurance can be purchased during registration.
  • Quarterly installment fees are for practice only.  Uniforms, games, and tournaments are not included and incur separate charges.
  • Fees assume days off for holidays, pool maintenance, events/conflicts, weather, and rest/breaks.
  • Registration does not guarantee an athlete a spot on a specific team or with a specific coach. Coaches assign athletes to rosters based on what they determine is in the best interest/fit of the teams.  On occasion, a coach may move an athlete to a different team for a better fit.

Step Three:  Make sure your TeamSnap account is active.

Team Snap is mandatory for club communications and is the only source for updated schedule information and team chat messages.

Family members who want access to roster information must be added to the athlete's profile. This can be done at registration, or via the athlete’s roster profile on the app.  Turn notifications on to receive coach requests, invoices and schedule changes on time.

Step Four:  Review Club Policies and codes of conduct.

Athletes are expected to understand and follow SCWP and USAWP codes of conduct at all times. Anyone that disrupts practice will be asked to leave the pool deck.

Parents are responsible for on site supervision before and after practice.  Do not drop your child off and leave unless you checked them in with SCWP staff.
